Hi, I am Coach Carla!
I’m passionate about helping fellow members of the sandwich generation navigate the complexities of their own lives with grace and purpose. Having personally lived through the challenges of caring for both children and aging parents, I intimately understand the immense pressure that can leave us feeling squeezed like a sandwich, weighed down by the demands from both sides.
With a full heart and a multitude of responsibilities, I have taken on the extraordinary role of caring for my elderly parents while also supporting my adult children and cherishing the joy of being a grandmother to five precious grandchildren. I accomplish all of this while navigating the intricacies of a fulfilling corporate career.
I am also a devoted wife, celebrating over 30 years of shared love and commitment and have two incredible millennial daughters who continually inspire me with their drive and determination. I have also been blessed with the privilege of being a stepmom to two wonderful bonus sons, whose presence has enriched my life in immeasurable ways.
As “MiMi” to my five adored grandchildren, I find immeasurable joy in witnessing the growth and wonder of the younger generation. Their infectious laughter and boundless curiosity remind me of the beauty and preciousness of life.

Above all, I am a devoted daughter, raised within a strong black family dynamic, honoring the invaluable lessons and love instilled in me by my parents. Their wisdom and guidance have shaped me into the compassionate and resilient person I am today.
What sets me apart and positions me as coach to “squeezed professionals like me” is my firsthand experience of functioning daily within a multigenerational family dynamic.
Living and thriving in a household where multiple generations coexist, I intimately understand the challenges and joys that come with different priorities, beliefs, and values converging under one roof. I wholeheartedly embrace my blended and extended family, recognizing the immense value that diverse talents and beliefs bring to our collective journey.
